Among the many available methods of affiliate marketing comes a new method that has got to sound like one of the most simplest yet. You may be aware of PPA, PPL and PPC, now add PPP to that list.
To the left is a video by a YouTube user named “nsqpayperplay” that explains what PPP is exactly.
Before going any further, let me explain exactly what PPP is (or at least what I know of it so far.)
PPP is short for Pay Per Play. In order to be paid, you simply allow an audio ad to be played on your website and for each time it is played, your paid for that presentation.
When I found out about Pay-Per-Play, it transpired from the forums on DigitalPoint.com when everyone became hyped up over “NetAudioAds.” Little did anyone know that the release (February 1, 2008) of NTA would be short-lived.
Apparently by what I’m learning, NTA has closed down or something along those lines. Remember, the facts are based off the words of others on the forum so don’t quote me on that. I will tell you this small detail though. I’ve read around 15-20 articles on how NTA is NOT paying out good at all.
One person reported having 17k visitors to their site with 63 audio ads and only received $0.75 — $0.75 cents isn’t much at all. So I can apparently see why NTA would be shut down.
So that begs the question, what network will become the most highly respected audio ads network, if any?
Once more, just for the record, I am not sure exactly how PPP audio ads will play out to be, but I will tell you this. It will be a huge benefit for internet radio stations.
When you take one internet radio station and you play an audio ad for hundreds (if not thousands) of listeners, that advertiser is sure to be successful.
Example You run an internet radio station that has AT LEAST 50 listeners on at any one time. You play 10 different audio ad’s 5 times a day at $0.25 cents per person, per play. Here’s the VERY SIMPLE equation:
50 (Listeners) x 5 (Audio Ad’s) = 250 (Total Impressions Between All 50 for EACH 5 Audio Ad) x 10 (Times a Day) = $625.00 (Total Made Each Day)
Sounds un-real but the possibility COULD be possible, assuming there is a network created for PPP to present that kind of stability.
I believe that PPP has got to be the most interesting concept, assuming the audio ads are NOT hosted on the publisher’s host. If it is, then you’ll be paying out more in hosting bills then receiving profit and that is a HUGE turn off.
But the sole recommendation I would offer when it came to the future of PPP, it would be to NOT offer audio ads for WEBSITE PLACEMENT, but offer PPP instead for the benefit of internet radio stations and other media usages. Website placement just doesn’t fit the bill for that.
Wow! This is wonderful. Well, i am hearing about PPP for the first time and this sound pretty interesting.
That is too cool to know about PPP. This is great!
