For the past year or so, me and my fiancee have been talking constantly about me going to college. Although I am not saying that its not a smart choice, I just never thought of myself going to college at all.
But in the end, she talked me into it. So tomorrow, she’s supposed to be taking me to fill out my admissions applications and take the entrance exam. Hopefully I ace both without any issues.
What does my going to college have to do with affiliate marketing? Nothing to some, but to me it could help me out in affiliate marketing a bit. It’s also worth mentioning a few other reasons.
Since I first got in High School, I’ve always wanted to start my own business. Never did I think I would be in a sub-category of entrepreneurship (marketing) - hence internet marketing.
But to be honest, I’ve still yet to make a decision on a major. I do know for a fact that its one of the three listed below. Keep in mind these are major’s the college offers. What each one offers I won’t know until tomorrow when I can ask a counselor/admissions dept. rep. at the school.
1. General Business
2. Entrepreneurship
3. Accounting
Hopefully after tomorrow, I’ll be able to let everyone know.
In light of my decision, I decided to start a blog here sooner or later. I’m pretty much aware of the risk of the workload but I wanted to experiment a bit.
The new blog would consist of me writing about my venture through college and teaching some new things I may learn. Although it won’t entirely be directed towards affiliate marketing or business, it will be beneficial. This is because from time to time, I may have my fiancee post here and there about her college experience as well.
I’ve been out of school for about 2 years now and although some may think “your so lucky” - truth is I wish I was back in school a bit. The social networking is far better (in my own un-biased opinion) better then online marketing.
If I can network with hundreds of college buddies and do some small marketing then I could be a little bit more successful. Refer back to my post on “Its Who You Know, Not What You Know.”
Anyway, once I’m finished tomorrow I’ll inform everyone on how well things went and everything. Wish me luck.
By the way, for anyone out there in college. Drop me a comment with some tips and strategies to look out for when it comes down to going to college. Thanks…
