A while back, I read a post from Ian Fernando on his second attempt at Facebook Ad’s. His results the first time around wasn’t very successful based off what I read and his second shot to the best of my knowledge wasn’t that big neither.
Well, after reading about his second attempt and seeing a few screenshot images, I decided to do my own case study and see how well I perform using $250.00 - and to say the least, I’m a bit disappointed right now.
Maybe its just the fact that I am not writing good adcopy or some other factor but no matter the case, the results are not appealing to me. And here are a few other things that I find is a challenge with Facebook Ad’s.
Out of the recent 4 ad’s I placed, only 1 was accepted and this was because of Facebook’s strict guidelines. Facebook Ad’s has stated that the content on the landing pages of 3 of the advertisements are not acceptable. Where its found to be un-acceptable I don’t have the slightest clue, but its all about moving on.
So if your reading this and decide to take on Facebook Ad’s, consider creating landing pages that fit in their guidelines. If you don’t do this, then unfortunately you won’t get anywhere with Facebook.
One thing I took notice to is that all of the campaigns I’ve began so far, Facebook has been looking for $0.45 cents per click and up. Although this is not an issue for me since I’ve got $250.00 in my account and a $20.00 daily spending limit, the rate limit is still high.
Who knows, maybe their like AdWords and lower the price from time to time *wink* - I won’t hold my breath.
I decided to do something that I rarely do and that is provide a screen image of what exactly my statistics has been looking like right now. I’ll post an updated version in a follow-up post in about a week or two.

Assuming you can write good adcopy and create persuasive landing pages that fit their guidelines, I don’t see why not. But I will recommend you put a sufficient amount of money into your Facebook Ads account with their extreme priced CPC bidding.
With that being said, the statement “results may vary” stands true in this case. Its all about how much experience, time and patience you have to put into Facebook Ads.
Why do you think things have always to go that way?
